About Nachchaduwa Nature Park
This lake is called the Nachchaduwa tank. It was built by King Mahasen. The reservoir is used to store water brought from Kala Wewa through the Yoda Ela cannel. It supplies water to Nuwara Wewa through another cannel. There are seven islands around the Nachchaduwa tank.
