About Talaimannar Pier
This is a very old pier, earlier used to transport goods from India and other countries to Sri Lanka. you can walk towards the edge of pier, be careful its a deep sea below. around the pier you will see Light house, the end of railway track and a navy base. Roads are straight and fine, kinda hot, but nice port view. you will also find street foods. Talaimannar pier can be reached by a road from Mannar which links the island to through a bridge causeway which is 52km from Mannar town.
