About Rajagala Pond
These natural ponds are situated on a rock bed close to the section 2 of the Rajagalathenna Archeological site. However, these ponds are different to what is depicted on the map. There is an old set of steps carved on the rock-bed to reach these ponds. This rock bed also provides a panoramic view of the area, specially the monadnocks in Gal Oya valley such as Friar's Hood, Nuwaragala etc.
