About Kobothura gala
Kobothuragala is a rocky mountain situated at Manitamgama region in Avissawella. It can be easily distinguished from its neighboring rock Yakahatuwagala, due to strange linear markings on the rock wall. Although the origin of these markings are not yet totally understood, geologists suggest these could have been formed due to glaciers retreating along the rock, millions of years ago.
