Who owns Jetwing Travels?

Jetwing Travels is part of Jetwing, a family-owned Sri Lankan hospitality group founded by Herbert Cooray, who opened his first six-room hotel in Negombo in 1973. The travel business was launched as Jet Travels in 1981 and renamed Jetwing Travels in 1993. Sister companies include Jetwing Hotels, Jetwing Eco Holidays and Jetwing Adventures.

Is Jetwing Travels licensed by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority?

Yes. Jetwing Travels (Pvt) Ltd is registered with the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) as a travel agent, registration number SLTDA/SQA/TA/0516, and holds licence TA/2026/0076. Travellers can check any agency's current licence on the official SLTDA travel agent register at srilanka.travel. Wonder of Ceylon last checked this licence on 15 October 2026.

What tour packages does Jetwing Travels offer?

Jetwing Travels publishes 20 Sri Lanka tours lasting 5 to 13 days, most of them staying in Jetwing's own hotels. They include cultural and scenic round tours, honeymoons, beach holidays on the south and east coasts, a Big Five wildlife tour, meditation and yoga, golf, Geoffrey Bawa architecture, diving, cycling, trekking, a Ramayana trail and a Sri Lanka and Maldives combination.

How much does a Jetwing Travels tour cost?

Jetwing Travels does not publish tour prices; each itinerary is priced after a call with a travel specialist, based on dates, hotels and group size. Once booked, the balance is due 30 days before arrival, by credit card or bank transfer. To compare costs, you can request a free quote through Wonder of Ceylon, which can also price the trip with other licensed agencies.
