About Yaka Andu Ella Falls
The name of the waterfall literally translates in to �crying demon fall� in English. Folklore talks of a powerful Demon King who ruled this area when the Buddha visted Sri Pada and left his footprint, cried so hard for losing out the land to Buddha, it created this waterfall from the tears. Thus it was called �Yaka Andu Ella� ( Yaka Handu Ella).
