About Thivanka Image House
This was buit by King Parakramabahu as a part or the Jethavanaramaya complex. Since the image of the lord buddha has been curved in three places, it is named as "thivanka" and it is around 6 meters tall. This place has some wall paintings very similar to Sigiri paintings. Now the place has been well conservated and closes at 6 p.m. The guy was there explained very well the history of this place.
