This temple has wall paintings that belongs to the Kandyan era. Absolutely beautiful paintings and one must see those at least once in the lifetime. Has very unique front view to the temple from the main roadside, identical to Christian church. It was said that this strategy has been used to safeguard the temple during the British ruling period.
