About Kotikagoda Rajamaha Viharaya
Kotikagoda temple is located within city limits of the walgama town in the Matara district. The temple is believed to have began during the reign of king Mayadunne. Although what remains now had been constructed in 1829AD. It is now under the care of the Archeological department and it is one of the sites where historical paintings from the kandian era are still preserved.
