Wellawaya is a town in Monaragala District, in UVA Province, Sri Lanka. A perfect place to visit for a week-end. Handapanagala reservoir is one of the most beautiful and attractive reservoirs in the Wellawaya area.It is the furthest away from the Colombo city (226 km from Colombo city) and can be described as a very nice place, though a little less touristy.
