About Hakgedi Ella Fall
Hakgedi Ella Falls is a small waterfall which is probably about 3 meters tall lying in the rural village of the kananke on the Galle � Akkuressa Road. The source of this fall is Polathu Ganga. The area which the fall is located is called Kumarawatte/ Harambawatte. It is said that a Hakgedi (a conches shell) and a pot was carved on a large rocky surface near a pool of water at the fall. It is said that a treasure belonging to a ancient king is hidden beneath this pool.
