This was originally build by Greatest King Mahasen to feed the Magalle wawa which also build by himself. Ridi Bendi Ela anicut build across the daduru oya and then feeder canal to Nikaweratiya but after the construction of a daduru oya reservoir water supply getting limited. This is very beautiful place to visit and grate example of ancient Sinhalese irrigation capability.
